Day 1: Åsvær
Our journey begins in the agricultural calm of Dønna before we set our course for the island of Åsvær, where the sea offers its riches and the land whispers old stories. Guests may join a local farm visit or head straight to deeper waters for a thrilling afternoon of fishing. That evening, anchored in a quiet cove near the historic Åsvær lighthouse, we enjoy the first of many fireside meals, with the day’s catch transformed into something simple and perfect. The sea is still. The sky never quite darkens.
Day 2: Lovund
Lovund rises sharply from the sea—wild cliffs, puffins overhead, and a summit hike that rewards with endless views. After descending, we sink into the island’s cozy rhythm. Some wander to cafés with warm waffles and seaweed tea. Others settle into the hotel restaurant for a more refined culinary dive into the island’s seafood traditions. Between it all, we swing golf balls into the sea from Lovund’s curious cliffside driving range. The birds circle, the horizon stretches, and laughter carries on the wind.
Day 3: Træna (Optional)
Weather allowing, we venture across open ocean to Træna—one of Norway’s oldest island communities, balanced near the Arctic Circle like a dream caught between land and sea. We explore sea caves etched with time, paddle across still waters between the islands, or soak in a traditional sauna. Art and music pulse beneath this place’s quiet exterior. It is a landscape made not just to explore, but to feel.
Day 4: Rødøya & Hestmona
Today, we cross the Arctic Circle—a milestone marked not by signs, but by a deepening of light, landscape, and air. Rødøya’s fiery cliffs give way to soft, white sand beaches where we might anchor for a swim or stroll. At Hestmona, a stop at the historic Klokkergården which offers a warm welcome and a meal that tells the story of Helgeland hospitality—rooted in place, guided by the seasons.
Day 5: Melfjorden & Nordfjorden
Here the wilderness deepens. We enter the hidden fjords of Melfjorden and Nordfjord—places unreachable by road and untouched by the rush of modern life. From our RIB, we land ashore to hike beneath hanging glaciers, where waterfalls tumble like silk over stone. At day’s end, we gather around a driftwood fire on a remote shore. There’s freshly grilled fish, the scent of juniper smoke, and the haunting beauty of silence. No traffic. No lights. Only fjord, flame, and sky.
Day 6: Lurøy
Returning southward, we reach Lurøy—where a renaissance garden flourishes against all odds, the northernmost of its kind. This island is a gentle retreat: time to stroll through historic paths, to visit a museum, or simply breathe in the scent of salt and blooming herbs. Whether hiking, reading, or sharing wine on deck, this is a day for reflection.
Day 7: Tomma
Our final day brings us to Tomma, where snow-dusted peaks rise above white sands. The sea is still and transparent, perfect for freediving, kayaking, or floating in quiet contemplation. Some climb to the mountain summits for a final wide-angle view; others stay near the shore, where the water laps gently and time slows. As evening falls, we gather once more on a beach of soft sand, the midnight sun casting golden shadows around us. Together, we toast the sea, the coast, and the shared experience—carried under a midnight sky.
