Day 1: Arrival & Embarkation in Bodø

We depart from Bodø, the Arctic City, setting sail northward along a rugged, low-lying coastline shaped by tides and weather. As the city fades behind us, the landscape grows quieter and more dramatic, with steep shorelines and snow-covered ridges guiding us into Sørfjorden. By afternoon we reach Langnes, a secluded anchorage at the fjord’s end. Weather and daylight permitting, there is often time for a short ski tour or shoreline walk before settling in for our first night at anchor beneath the northern sky.

Day 2: Langnes to Sjunkfjorden

Today blends skiing and sailing in a uniquely Arctic way. After breakfast, guests head ashore for a point-to-point ski tour, traversing high ground between Langnes and the inner reaches of Sjunkfjorden. While the group is on skis, the yacht relocates north, navigating around headlands and fjord mouths to meet the skiers at a new anchorage by afternoon. The route is selected to suit conditions and the group’s level, often offering long, flowing descents toward the sea. Reuniting with the boat at day’s end adds a strong sense of journey, covering real distance through the landscape before settling in for a quiet evening surrounded by steep, snow-covered mountains.

Day 3: Ski Touring in Sjunkfjorden

Ski Day · Anchor A full day dedicated to skiing in Sjunkfjorden, with exceptional flexibility. Using the high-speed tender, we can access a wide range of shorelines, valleys, and mountain faces spread across the fjord system, dramatically expanding the terrain available for the day. This mobility allows us to match objectives precisely to snow stability, weather, and group preference — from longer alpine routes deep in the fjord to playful coastal lines with direct sea-level finishes. The result is a true ski-and-sail experience at scale: multiple potential zones within reach, minimal transit time on skis, and the freedom to chase the best conditions before returning to the yacht for a relaxed evening at anchor.

Day 4: Sjunkfjorden - Sagfjorden

After a short sail north, we arrive in Sagfjorden, an area of broad fjords and varied alpine terrain. With support from the high-speed tender, we have access to a large stretch of coastline and multiple valleys across both Sagfjorden and the outer reaches of Sjunkfjorden. This range allows us to select ski objectives dynamically — choosing the best snow, light, and exposure on the day rather than committing to a single landing point. Depending on conditions, the day may include a ski tour before departure, after arrival, or a combination of both, making full use of the flexibility offered by boat-based travel.

Day 5: Sagfjorden - Balkjosen

We continue north along a more exposed stretch of coastline, with open horizons and a growing sense of proximity to the outer islands. Litle Balkjosen is a quiet, well-protected anchorage beneath high ground, ideal for evening calm after a day underway. Depending on conditions, this can be a rewarding ski afternoon, with shorter tours and playful terrain well suited to relaxed exploration before returning to the yacht.

Day 6: Balkjosen - Manshausen

Today combines adventure, logistics, and comfort in a distinctly Arctic way. After an early start, guests head ashore from Litle Balkjosen for a point-to-point ski traverse, moving across high ground toward the outer coast. The route is selected to suit snow and weather conditions, often offering expansive views toward the open Vestfjorden and long, rewarding descents. At the end of the traverse, guests are met by the tender and transferred across the water to Manshausen, where the yacht awaits at the dock. The day concludes with a memorable fine-dining experience at the island lodge founded by polar explorer Børge Ousland, where modern Nordic cuisine meets raw Arctic landscape.

Day 7: Manshausen - Brennviksanden

We sail south along the coast to Brennviksanden, known for its sweeping sandy beach and open feel toward the ocean. The mountains rise steeply behind the anchorage, offering excellent ski options straight from shore. The day often combines a shorter sail with a rewarding ski tour, finishing back at the boat as evening light settles over the beach and surrounding peaks. After a night of rest, we sail back across familiar waters to Bodø. The route offers time to reflect on the week, from deep fjords and remote anchorages to summits climbed and lines skied. We arrive at the dock in Bodø in the afternoon, concluding a complete Arctic ski & sail loop through some of Nordland’s most striking coastal mountains.
